So, over the summer, I did a 16 page comic book (not counting the front and back cover) for the health department in my state. It’s funny because it was a slight misunderstanding, since I’m a graphic designer, but I basically went “HELL YES” when I heard that I could be drawing for money. Long story short, I basically sent the health department a hilarious little portfolio (including two pieces of Homestuck fanart. IT’S A COMIC…) and was picked above other, PROFESSIONAL artists.

I just got my copies that I requested to have once they were printed, so…. Although it was probably a one time thing, I’m a published artist now? …I’m already looking at this thing and laughing at the art inside. Most of it is HONESTLY REALLY BAD, due to deadline constraints and client wishes, but I still love it to bits, even though it’s cheesy and dorky and about how taking dirty pics of yourself before you’re 18 is seen as making child porn. But I had fun working on a real comic for the first time, and here’s to getting better in the future, for when I get my shit together and do a real webcomic. And can use words far more intense than “DANG”. And scenes far twisted than- actually, things get a little bit twisted, not gonna lie.

Also Devon apparently reads Homestuck, because he’s got a Dave shirt on, more or less.
